7 reasons to watch the AAA 400 at Dover: No. 1 - Good racing

Remember when some Dover races used to seem too long and boring?

Those days are long gone.

The last two Dover races have been fantastic, especially the fall race one year ago, when Roush Fenway Racing teammates Carl Edwards, Greg Biffle and Matt Kenseth put on a fantastic display in a battle ultimately won by Biffle.

NASCAR Sprint Cup teams have apparently figured out how to make the new car work at Dover, and the results have been great for the fans. Add in the fact that this weekend’s AAA 400 will be Dover’s first race with double-file restarts (they were implemented immediately after the May race this year) and there’s a possibility for a really good show on Sunday.

Dover is a great place for NASCAR, and in reality, the Delaware track would be an even better place to start the Chase than New Hampshire. But that’s a topic for another day.
